Milei Win Embarrasses Failing New York Times
The mainstream media has woken up with egg all over their face this morning.
Again and again, the New York Times and others, attack and distort the truth in an effort to sway the people. For decades they were successful but people around the world have once again rebuked the dishonest mouthpieces of the corporate, cultural, and political elites. Late last night, this rebuke came from Argentina.
The Argentines elected Jose Milei, a libertarian firebrand with wild hair, who speaks with the passion of a Pentecostal preacher. Milei is pro-life, pro-gun, pro-American, anti-immigration, and rabidly anti-communist, which drives the corporate media bonkers.
The New York Times and the other old guards of the corporate press have been campaigning against Milei for months. Yet again, they have been defeated.
Here are just a few of the recent attacks.
“Argentina Elects Javier Milei in Victory for Far Right”
- New York Times, Election day
The New York Times is using the term “far-right” against Milei to make their audience think he is a fascist–– which is incompatible with being a “libertarian,” a phrase used repeatedly in the story text. It is like calling someone a Christian Atheist.
Additionally, not everyone who opposes socialism is “far-right.” The New York Times is either being intentionally dishonest (which seems likely) or they are demonstrating their lack of a sophisticated political understanding.
In an SEO headline, the New York Times referred to Milei as Argentina’s Donald Trump–– which would be interpreted as an insult by Times readers.
However, Milei supports free trade. Donald Trump fought to repeal and replace NAFTA and he killed TPP (the worst free trade agreement ever proposed). Similarly, Trump had a mixed record on guns, Milei is pro-guns. This is so distorted, it is no wonder the New York Times is failing.
“Far-right outsider takes shock lead in Argentina primary election”
- The Guardian, August 14
Shocking? Any reporter following the political climate of Argentina and not going to the elite cocktail parties, like BREXIT, could have seen this coming.
“Argentina presidential election: far-right libertarian Javier Milei wins after rival concedes”
-The Guardian, November 20
Somehow between August and November, he became not just “far-right” but a “far-right libertarian.”
“ANALYST VIEW Argentine far-right libertarian Milei sweeps to victory”
- Reuters, November 20
There is that “far-right libertarian” designation again. Does anyone else find it off-putting that the corporate press can never think of their own wording for headlines? No wonder they do not make a big deal out of Biden plagiarizing speeches.
"Argentina's new president is Trump-like libertarian Javier Milei”
- The Washington Post, November 19
At least this is closer to true. “Trump-like” is more honest than calling him “Argentina’s Donald Trump”, both do have distinctive hairstyles after all. Perhaps, the Washington Post was more measured in their headlines because of the time Milei dunked on the woke publication.
The Washington Post, in its unending ability to be annoying, once pestered Argentina over their lack of “diversity” on their football team despite the fact Argentina has essentially no black population.
This promoted this message from Milei’s political party’s Twitter.
This election has also continued to expose media dishonesty about elections. One might recall the Washington Post’s constant efforts to explain away why it suddenly takes so long to count ballots,
or how they will run coverage for the DNC by blaming Republicans for the delays in vote counting.
Argentina counted 32 million ballots in an evening, while some states take weeks to count a few hundred thousand. Explain that.
The press rolled out the same attacks on Milei they had used on
Donald Trump
Marine Le Pen
Georgia Meloni
Boris Johnson
BREXIT
Matteo Salvini
Viktor Orban
Ron DeSantis
Glenn Youngkin
Jair Bolsonaro
And again they have been rebuked. Will the media finally wake up to the fact that the people do not care what an “effete corps of impudent snobs” think? Probably not.
––But if they do, no one will be around to hear it. Whether The New York Times et al. acknowledges their latest embarrassment, people all across the world are rejecting the most dishonest industry since Big Pharma, and it has not happened a moment too soon.
