Godley ISD, a school district outside of Forth Worth, has been caught in an ungodly position. The school district has recently been exposed for allowing a convicted prostitute and currently advertising escort to be a committee member and volunteer, Fox 4 reported.

Yes, you read that right. There was a new Hot Child In The City (of Godley) and She Works (worked) Hard for The Committee!
Ashley Ketcherside was convicted of prostitution twice in 2012 and 2016, Fox 4 reported, while she maintained an active escort website that advertised her services.
However, Godley ISD did not let Ketcherside’s talents go to waste. Ketcherside sat on the middle school’s Sex-Ed committee, and whatever else she sat on is none of your business!
While this story is certainly outrageous, it is not without a silver lining. It is imaginable that Ketcherside may be the only person in public education who still knows what is a woman. Although she is not currently responding to requests for comment, rumor has it that if you ask her “what is a woman?”, she responds “$75 more than she used to be.” Thanks Bidenomics.
The school district claims that they depend on the criminal background check system provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety. Sometimes this system does not collect all the data available to it because it depends on local law enforcement reporting convictions to the database.
In the Ketcherside case, her convictions did not show up in the system because her prostitution convictions were misdemeanors, which are not reported to a database reserved for criminal convictions.
Consequently, when Ketcherside’s name was run through the system, nothing came up and she assumed roles that allowed her to have contact with children. The district maintains that while Ketcherside’s role permitted her access to kids, she did not use it during the “school day”.
The convictions were brought to the attention of The Best Little Schoolhouse in Texas when a parent’s group blew the whistle on Ketcherside’s past extracurricular activities.
While Ketcheside may not have to put on the red light, everyone in the district should have to put on rain hats because it is about to hit the fan.
While the local police department said it is “generally aware of the allegations; however, there is no official criminal investigation at this time based on the allegations alone,” as Fox reported, the district has launched an inquiry into ways to improve its background check process and this incident has fueled continuing debates about who is being allowed access to kids in Texas public schools.
Although Claytie Williams, who ran for Governor against Ann Richards in 1990, once said that hiring prostitutes was "part of the fun of growing up in West Texas," it is important to remember that Fort Worth is in North Texas, and though that may be the choice of West Texas ranches, using current or former prostitutes for any purposes should be looked down upon in Texas public schools.
